Though the building may appear a bit shabby from the outside, the warm welcome I received from the staff made all the difference, allowing me to immediately drop my bags and even stow my bike safely in the bar area, which was a thoughtful touch. The room was basic yet functional, equipped with a decent shower and a flat-screen TV, providing all the essentials for a comfortable stay. As someone who fully appreciates a hearty breakfast, I was not disappointed—the morning spread was excellent, fueling me for the day ahead as I planned to explore the picturesque Bay of Morlaix. Conveniently located just a short walk from the town center and the local tourism office, Hôtel de la Gare is perfect for short stopovers, especially for cyclists and hikers like myself. The $ price is notably great for those not looking for luxury but who still want to enjoy the unique charm of a medieval town. It was a delightful base, offering comfort without the frills, making it an ideal choice for those keen to discover the hidden gems of the Finistère region.
